Lupe Fiasco One of GQ’s ‘Men of the Year’
Lupe Fiasco has been named one of GQ Magazine’s “Men of the Year 2006,” receiving the “Breakout” honors on its annual ranking
On Lupe’s blog site (Hypebeast.com), which he recently announced has come to a close, he wrote
“Proud to inform that ya boy is one of GQ’s Men of the Year for 2006! … This is just one of the many blessings that me and my peoples have received this year, and I just wanna thank everyone who has supported and gave love to this lil’ thing we putting together right here … yup yup … God is Great … Stay tuned!”
The Chicago emcee, whose debut album “Food & Liquor” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s “Top Rap Albums” chart, joins past honorees including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jay-Z, Will Ferrell, and Al Gore
